Create a Web Based Slide Show. Photo to Web
Photo to Web is one of our Internet applications that serves the whole enterprise. Photo to Web is one of our one-of-a-kind Internet tools to put lists of pictures into web pages.
Photo to Web can create slide shows for the entire folder and subfolders.
You can have a personalized caption for each photograph in your slide show.
You can make up a basic name for the slide show and the rest of the web pages will be created with a like name. For example: you create a slide show called 'tour', then photo to web creates tour.htm and puts the first photo in a file named tour0001.htm, the next photo will be in tour0002.htm, tour0003.htm, and so on.
The File Name for Main Web Page. You do not need to change this. If you do not enter anything, the default is default.htm.
Prefix. You can have anything or nothing. The default for this is default. This will cause the pages to be (prefix name) X .htm (X is a number counter). For example: you could have default1.htm default2.htm and so on.
Title for Web Page will actually be the title for all of the web pages.
Percent for Picture Height is a percentage of the picture in the browser. The default is blank, so the actual size of the photograph will be shown. You can type in a number such as 90 to get 90 percent of the screen to be used.
Delay Seconds. This is the time delay between photo displays.
Source path is the path from where the .jpg files are now.
Destination path is the path where the html files are going to be created.
Create Web Pages Will create the web pages in question, save your current configuration.
After you create the web pages, you will see the Destination file pattern change to show only .htm files. at this point, you can select any of these folders in the Destination File. As you open each of the htm files, you will see the picture in question on the screen and the text will show up in the just under the Source and Destination files options. At this point, you can add or edit captions for any of the photographs. To save your changes, click the Save Caption File.
Note that on the first web page you will see a list of files (pictures). But this will only remain on the screen for the same time as the delay. You will not see this list again, unless you click on one of the 'Main' buttons on the photos web pages.
